Little did I know, working in a school would teach me all kinds of sayings that will forever be stuck in my head and without realizing, will probably use in public. The first few times I heard "put a bubble in your mouth" I was all like "wha??" It came out of my mouth today with a group of third graders. It's like the first time you say something you grew up hearing your mom say and then you think "oh my God, I sound like my mother"... Oh my God, I sound like a kindergarten teacher. When you've heard all the talking from 3-6 different mouths at one time that you can handle, that's probably the nicest thing that could come out. Good thinking, teachers.
Oh... and criss-cross applesauce.
Stuck...
In my head...
Forever.
I've never heard these things until last week.
Also, being called Ms. "enter some variation of my last name" all day is incredibly strange. Every time a kid calls me "Emily" it gets me and them in trouble, ha. I'll eventually get the hang of this thing.
