'morning folks-- So here is a quick weekend recap:
Friday: Mom, me, and a few others went and grabbed a very casual birthday lunch at The Fishmarket back home. It was fun to get together with people outside of my usual loop and talk about travel and crocheting stuff. We came home and had a mini-party with cake and candles. It was fun, since on my actual birthday, I didn't get to see any immediate family.
Saturday: A couple of my absolute favorite people picked me up to head out and do some thrifting and lunch before I flew back out. When I got back into town, I waited an hour to get picked up on the curb. Pure traffic madness. It was worth it, because once I was swooped up and my things were loaded we headed to Yia Yia Marys! I have wanted to eat here since I moved here and first saw the sign, so I was majorly excited. It did not disappoint! The food was *amazing*
Sunday: Slept in, made it in time for Grand Slam breakfast, and headed for an afternoon at the beach. It was incredibly crowded, but we didn't care. We set up camp on the very edge where there was a tiny spot left and people watched and played with wandering, sand-covered dogs. To cool off from the heat, we grabbed a treat from Ritas. I've seen some blog mentions about Rita's, recently from Danielle's blog, "Sometimes Sweet". She was so right, it was awesome. To end our Sunday, we picked up an order of lettuce wraps and garlic noodles and headed home to the couch.
Well rested, I start my Monday by making a list of things to accomplish. To begin my week, I have *CLEAN EVERYTHING I OWN*. This means start inside with laundry and organizing closets and work my way to getting Stella groomed and cleaning out my car. After I tackel all this, I will then add a number two to the list.
Happy Monday Everyone!
